ABOUT DYLAN

Dylan Price smiling outdoors in Shropshire

Dylan was born in Bishops Castle on 20th Sep 2003 and sadly died on 19th Sep 2021.  He was a fun-loving boy, always smiling and full of life.  He loved rugby, nature and animals and was gentle, yet brave. He was a keen swimmer who loved the ocean and he had a kind temperament that made him a true friend to many people.

Dylan adored his family especially his mum, dad, two sisters and his niece, in addition to his extended family.

He loved rugby and played for both Bishops Castle and Shrewsbury rugby clubs with his rugby hero being Jonah Lomu.  He swam and was a lifeguard in Bishops Castle.

When he was little he was bought an inflatable killer whale and he has loved the animal ever since, hence the whale featured in the Dylan Price Foundation logo.  After his death many of his friends had killer whale tattoos and the symbol is also used on his headstone and at his memorial garden.

Dylan was tragically killed the day before his 18th birthday, as he was walking home just across the trees from Bishops Castle rugby club.  Out of this tragedy, the family have formed the Dylan Price Foundation to remember this brave, caring soul and to help local young people to achieve their ambitions. Dylan will be forever in our hearts and we ask you please, to take a moment to remember what you do today matters.
