The latest event supporting the Dylan Price Foundation took place on 26th December 2023 and raised £856.68.  This is the third time friends, family and supporters have braved the streets of Bishop's Castle on Boxing Day, many wearing little but their underwear.  The Boxing Day run started at 2pm from outside the King's Head pub and involved a run of over a mile around Bishop's Castle.  It was well supported and a light hearted event to keep Dylan's memory alive and raise funds for future projects within the Bishop's Castle community.  Don't forget to make contact via the Support page if you would like to apply for a donation.

MEMORIAL RUGBY DAY'23

A staggering total of over £9000 was raised at the memorial event in Bishops Castle on Bank Holiday Sunday 27th August.  There was overwhelming support from so many people within the community, taking part in not one but two rugby games and generously donating and purchasing prizes for the raffle and auction.

The fun day included Bishop’s Castle vs Knighton/Tref y Clawdd rugby followed by an England vs Wales veterans rugby game, food, refreshments, wood carving, live bands, fireworks and even head shaving.

It was a special memorial to Dylan and a time for family, friends, rugby supporters and the whole community to come together and celebrate friendship in his memory.

Heartfelt thanks are extended to everyone who gave so generously on the day.

BOXING DAY RUN'22

Bishop Castle & Onny Valley RFC’s started the tradition to honour Dylan, just 3 months after his death.  Initially, the fundraising was for Young Minds, a charity Dylan supported, and this crazy run, wearing only your boxers, was something Dylan would have loved to be involved in.

It aimed to raise awareness of mental health and young people’s wellbeing which was as important as raising money for the charity. The thinking being that if you’re brave enough to run around the area in your underwear then you’ll be brave enough to talk or listen when it comes to mental health.

The event was repeated in 2022, when around 40 people turned out to run through the town, this time raising money for the Dylan Price Foundation.

MEMORIAL RUGBY DAY'22

This event took place on 29th August 2022 and was the inaugural rugby match to play for the Dylan Price Memorial Cup.  The day also saw the official unveiling of the Memorial Garden, which features metal artwork of whales, flower beds, seating and a fire pit. The garden is somewhere friends and family can come to remember Dylan and allows his name will live on at the club.

The day also included a raffle, promise auction, refreshments and live music.  It was also an opportunity for the family to make a plea for more information regarding Dylan’s death as the year anniversary was approaching and no one was any closer to understanding what happened on the night of his death. His friend, Charlie Conde, said, "This game is the best way to pay tribute to him and I hope it will become an annual event."
